Apple Crisp Pie

This is a recipe i got at my wards recipe club we have every month. We all get together and bring all the stuff to the chapel and learn a new recipe, i love it. I knew i probably wouldn't like it to much because of the fruit but i was pleasantly surprised. It was really good i just added a little scoop of ice cream to top it off.

Ingredients:

8 apples (or peaches), peeled and sliced thin
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 cup sugar
3 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup oatmeal (i used pecans instead)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cube butter softened

Directions:

This will make two round pie dishes or one 9x13 pan. First use the stick of butter to grease your pan. In a bowl peel and slice your apples and add lemon juice. Pour your sugars, cinnamon, and nutmeg over the apples and toss. Pour into your baking dish. In a separate bowl combine your butter, flour, oatmeal (or nuts) and mix with a fork until crumbly. Sprinkle over the top of your apples and that's it. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hr. until apples are cooked and the crust is golden brown.
