Never-fail Pie Crust

This is another recipe i got from the recipe club.


2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 cup shortening
1 egg beaten
1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup cold water


Mix flour and salt in a large bowl. With a fork cut the shortening into the flour with a fork until it resembles coarse cornmeal. In a small bowl mix egg, vinegar, and water. combine egg mixture with flour mixture and blend well. refrigerate. Roll pie crusts out between wax paper sheets. Bake unfilled crust at 450 degrees. 12-15 minutes. Makes 2 (10 inch) pie crusts.

* Roll out the dough lightly and roll out large enough to extend over pie pan.
