Mom's Fettuccine Alfredo


1/4 cube real butter
3 tsp. flour
1/2 quart heavy cream
1 cup milk
1-2 bags shredded Parmesan cheese
cornstarch for thickening


Heat the butter on med. heat and add the flour to create a paste. Slowly add in your cream and stir constantly. Add your milk and keep stirring so you don't scald the milk. Add cheese in slowly so it becomes creamy and not grainy. Add cornstarch as needed for thickening. Serve over fettuccine noodles with broccoli and cauliflower and breadsticks. Yum! Thanks Mom.
