Caramels



This is always something fun to make around the Holiday's and if you make these you won't be the only one in the kitchen sneakin a bite!

Ingredients:

2 cubes Butter (not marg)
2 1/4 cup. Dark Brown Sugar
1 cup. Karo Syrup
1 can. Sweetened Condensed Milk

Directions:

Bring all the ingredients to boil stirring constantly with a wood spoon maing sure it doesn't burn. Let caramel boil for 1 minute and then test in a cup of ice water. Consistency should not be too gooey and hold it's shape. If it's not there yet continue to boil and test. Final product should be a dark brown color (think of a brown paper bag). Then pour caramel onto a cookie sheet and let cool. Cut into bite size squares and wrap individually in seran wrap or wax paper.

These are great gifts or just fun to eat all by yourself.
