Turtle Pumpkin Pie

Have you ever opened a magazine and turned it to the pages where the recipes should be, but they're not there. It's because people like me steal them. That's right, i stuff them in my purse and take them home with me! Just today i found like 3 pages of recipes i wanted to try and so i brought them home to see if Troy would consider any of them. To my surprise, he liked them all! So i might just be posting some new recipes on here. Here is one of them from "Kraft foods" that Troy wants me to make first. It's dessert of course, but i thought it was appropriate for the Holidays coming up.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup caramel ice cream topping
1/2 cup pecans
1 Graham Cracker crust pie crust
1 cup cold milk
2 pkg. Jell-O Vanilla Instant pudding
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tub (8 oz.) Cool Whip topping

Directions:

Pour a generous portion of caramel onto the bottom of the pie crust then sprinkle nuts on top pressing slightly into the caramel. In a separate bowl beat together; milk, pudding, pumpkin, and spices. also fold in 1 1/2 cups of Cool whip. Spread into crust. Let refrigerate for 1 hr. Top with remaining Cool Whip, caramel and pecans.
