Toffee


Ingredients:

1/8 tsp. Cream of tarter
1/4 cup water
1/2 cube real butter
1 1/2 cubes margarine
1 cup sugar
pinch of salt

Directions:

Bring to boil and add 1 cup sugar stirring constantly. You know when it's done when it gets foamy and turns the color of a dark brown paper bag. Pour onto a cookie sheet a spread. Add chocolate pieces on top to melt and spread evenly. Add chopped almonds, walnuts, or pecans. Let cool then crack with a knife. This is a great gift for the Holiday's to give to neighbors or just to eat with your family.
